(2017). Pulling back the Curtain: Enrollment and Outcomes at Minority Serving Institutions. American Council on Education & Center for Policy Research and Strategy. – Using National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) data, this report argues that student outcomes, particularly at MSIs, would be better measured acknowledging the the nuances of student completion patterns. “When measured using NSC data, MSIs do in many cases substantially better at completing students than is
    depicted by the standard federal graduation rate. In all cases, students enrolled exclusively full time—and in
    many cases, students overall—have much higher completion rates using NSC data.”
